Miriam A. Averna writes horror, dark, thrillers, twisted or just plain weird stories. She lives in Northamptonshire but is originally from the South of England and was born in sunny Sicily. She likes to take the mundane and make it into something more sinister than you thought possible.

Convinced that there is always ‘more to it’ than meets the eye, her debut novel No Cure for Fear is an inevitable result of this notion.
She began writing when she was a kid and is an avid reader of fiction, in particular thrillers, horrors and dystopian.  Her stories have featured in Devolution Z mag, Kishboo e-magazine Autumn 2015 (runner-up), England’s Future History and on She also runs a horror blog (Horror Scribes) that offers debut flash fiction writers a chance to get published (as well as win cash).
When not writing she loves watching films (especially horror), likes to keep fit, and spends more time than necessary thinking about food and cataloguing ales and craft beers in her head.
